Several Football and Cricket Matches Scheduled for the Weekend
In the only match carded for the DIGICEL Premiere Division, defending champions, Tremors will look for their second win in as many outings when they come up against Dublanc from 10 am on Saturday.
This encounter is scheduled of the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Meanwhile in the Kubuli/Fort Young Hotel Intermediate Division, three matches are on for Saturday.
At the Botanic Gardens, Mahaut will take on Castle Bruce, while at the Poree Park in Pointe Michel, Grassroots will take on the Pointe Michel Cricket Academy.
At the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth, Starlights will do battle against Christian.
On Sunday at the Botanic Gardens the Police Sports Club will take on Somerset.
All matches are expected to bowl off from 10am.
Wacky Rollers will play their final Premiere Division encounter this weekend when the football action continues in the DFA LIME Premiere Division competition.
Wacky Rollers, which has been relegated to the Division One league will take on Northern Concrete and Steel Bombers from 6pm at the Almond Park in Dublanc on Sunday.
In the Intermediate Division on Saturday, Cube Cheese Barber Shop Bath Estate will take on Underground Starz. Bath Estate needs only a draw to walk away with the championship.
This encounter will take place at the Bath Estate playing field.
In the All Island league on Saturday, National Pest and Termite Control will do battle against East Central from 4pm at Bath Estate.
In another encounter on Saturday, Bafond Point will take on DNL Young Gunners from 3pm at the Geneva playing field in Grand Bay.
On Sunday, in one of two matches scheduled, Haitian Angels will take on Delton United from 3pm in the first match of a double header scheduled for Bath Estate.
The second encounter will feature Trafalgar FC will take on Mahaut Soca Strikers from 5pm.
New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has become the latest international cricketer to link-up with the inaugural Caribbean Premier League (CPL) set to begin in July.
Taylor, one of the hottest commodities in Twenty/20 cricket, has been confirmed as the tournament’s third international franchise player.
The former New Zealand captain has played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception in 2008, with spells at Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and, for this year, the Pune Warriors.
Taylor said that he is very excited about playing in the first ever edition of the Caribbean Premier League.
Taylor was part of the side that reached successive ICC Cricket World Cups semi-finals in 2007 and 2011, as well as the final of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2009.
Already contracted is Australia legends Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist, alongside the six confirmed West Indies franchise players: Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Marlon Samuels.

Dominica National under 15 team picked up its second win in as many matches on Thursday, when the action continued in the 2013 Windward Islands under 15 cricket tournament currently taking place in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
In their second encounter, Dominica defeated Grenada by seven wickets. Grenada batted first and scored 102 all out. Donald Mc Donald top scored with 34.
In reply, Dominica reached 103 for three with Leic Charles continuing his good form as he led the way with an unbeaten 38.
