Shanie Angol Breaks Record in Jamaica

A student from the Pierre Charles Secondary School has broken her record in the 14th Bi-annual Caribbean Union of Teachers Athletics Championship.

The games took place in Jamaica with 14 participating countries.

Ms. Angol received the first gold medal of the day while breaking the record of 34.43 metres in javelin, with her throw of 38.35 metres.

Mrs. Celia Nicholas, President of the Dominica Association of Teachers is delighted to announce the news.

Mrs. Nicholas is appealing to Dominicans for a track and field stadium to be built in Dominica.
The next games will be held in Trinidad in 2014.
