Shooting Incident of Juvenile from Newtown
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force – CDPF through its Public Relations Officer, Inspector John Carbon, has revealed that a seventeen year old juvenile of Newtown on March 1, 2014 suffered a gunshot wound.
The young man was shot by the police in Newtown, after it was alleged that he committed a robbery.
He was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital – PMH, where he was treated and discharged the following day.
He has since been charged with robbery along with two other individuals and appeared before the Roseau Magistrate Court on Thursday March 6, 2014.
They were granted bail and will reappear at a later date.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are under investigations.
