Sineku residents playing field coming soon…
Following the signing of the agreement for the commencement of work on Monday, July 5th the Sineku residents in the Carib Territory can now expect their playing field soon.
Several witnesses were present when Carib Chief Garnette Joseph and the contractor Earl Laudat signed the contract at the site in Sineku on July 5th.
Mr. Joseph said that they have taken measures to quicken the process, as work commenced immediately after the contract was signed.
Earlier this year residents in the community held protest action, expressing their intolerance for the delay in the project.
Parliamentary representative for the Salybia Constituency, Honorable Ashton Graneau said that he is confident that the project will be delivered in due time.
Committee member of the Sineku Development Committee, Ms Pam Frederick said that the people of Sineku welcomes the project.
The estimated cost of the project is $206,000.
