Sir Brian Alleyne Speaks on Conduct of Practitioners
Former acting chief justice of the OECS Supreme Court, Sir Brian Alleyne, is against the conduct of a few practitioners, who are allegedly destroying the reputation of the legal profession.
On Tuesday 18th June, a lecture on faith and the legal system was organized by the Diocese of Roseau at the Fort Young Hotel, where Mr. Alleyne said the legal system is not regulated as it should be.
He further emphasized that some practitioners carry on in their own merry way and when clients complain they receive no satisfaction.
He said in a small community like the legal profession in Dominica self-regulation is difficult.
