Sixty-Nine Graduate from the Pierre Charles Secondary School
At their grauation on Friday, 17th June, the sixty-nine graduates of the Pierre Charles Secondary School were challenged by their feature speaker, Mr. Kondwani Williams to consider nothing as impossible.
In his address, Mr. Williams encouraged the graduates to aspire to reach higher no matter what their situations or circumstances may be. He said that the inhibition of growth and development in society was due to fear. He encouraged the students to overcome that fear and to strive for more than just a high school education.
The sixty-four students graduated under the theme, ‘the impossible is possible when you believe’.
Honourable Justina Charles said that the students’ theme confirmed their conviction that nothing is impossible with God. She noted that history has proven several times that nothing is impossible no matter what an individual’s circumstances may be.
Student of the year, Dania Thomas, feels relieved to have finally completed her five years of high school. She told her fellow graduates that it was not the end of the journey, but only the beginning of a new phase in their lives.
Dania Thomas received awards for English A, Bioloigy, Chemistry, General French, Mathematics, Physics and Social studies. Alickson Alexander was awarded for Agricultural Science, Geography and Information Technology and Deshawn George was awarded for Physical Education and Technical Drawing.
