St. Vincent and the Grenadines Secures First Honors Against Host Country Dominica

Defending champions St. Vincent and the Grenadines secured first honors against host country Dominica, in their drawn second round encounter of the 2012 Windward Islands cricket tournament which ended at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Monday.

Dominica, resuming the second day on 96 for six, in response to 234 scored by the Vincentians, was bowled out for 120 with Dellorn Johnson finishing with five for 38.

Keron Cottoy claimed two for 23, while Grayson Pacquette and Jerlani Robinson with 25 and 23 runs respectively were the top scorers for Dominica.

Kevin James top scored with a well played 50, while Vivian Titre with 49 provided excellent support batting lower down the order.

Captain Liam Sebastien hit 39 and Elton Mark weighed in with 26.

Bowling for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Alston Bobb with eight for 68 from 37 overs was the pick of the bowlers for the defending champions.

Scores in the match, St. Vincenst and the Grenadines 234 all out, Dominica 120 and 216 all out.
