The creativity of preschoolers displayed at a “Fancy Hat Parade”
The creativity of Preschoolers and their parents from the Western District were showcased, when the Mahaut Preschool School held a “fancy hat parade,” as part of activities marking Preschool month, which is being observed during the month of November under the theme “Empowering Communities through Early Childhood Education.”
Principal of the Mahaut Preschool, Mrs. Josette Jno Baptiste said that the Parade which commenced at the Preschool culminated at the Mahaut Market, where the students were granted the opportunity to interact with each other.
preschoolers who participated in the parade were from the Dublanc, Colihaut, Coulibistrie, Massacre and Mahaut Preschools.
Public Relations Officer at the Mahaut Primary School Miss Petula Alexander said that the students themselves decorated the hats with the help of their parents.
The parade featured hats of various sizes, shapes and colors. Some were made in the form of musical instruments and animals while others were neatly decorated with flowers and even fruits and vegetables.
