The Dominica State College Embark On A New Project Geared At Molding The ‘Whole’ Student
Students of The Dominica State College have been encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities as a means of achieving a well rounded education.
The Tourism Club of the DSC is spearheading this effort by organizing a series of sale of snack fund raising activities.
Supporting the club in this initiative is The National Bank of Dominica (NBD). On Thursday, the bank donated a tent towards the fund raising event.
NBD’s Executive Manager of Marketing and Community Relations, Suzanne Joseph-Piper says the donation is testimony of the Bank’s long history of supporting Educational Initiatives in Dominica.
Jewele Browne, President of the DSC Tourism Club says the donation of the tent is a welcome one and is greatly appreciated.
Since its inception in 2007, the club has been able to implement a number of projects including an independence clean up campaign at DSC, the placing of garbage bins around the school’s compound, the upkeep of the Reunion Park during the Reunion Year Celebrations and organizing guest lectures.
