The Eden and Emilia Baptiste Foundation Handing Over Ceremony
Eight organizations in the St Joseph constituency along with the Princess Margaret Hospital in Roseau benefited from a donation by the Eden and Emelia Baptiste Foundation of St Joseph, based in New York.
The foundation has over the years, consistently made its annual contribution to the government and people of Dominica, more so, to the St Joseph community.
President of the Dominica Council on Ageing, Mr Evander Joseph says a number of institutions are set to benefit from the donation.
While commending the Baptiste Foundation, Parliamentary Representative for the St Joseph constituency, Honorable Kelver Darroux told the beneficiaries that they should not take the gifts for granted.
The St Joseph Roman Catholic Church received an organ and a cheque of $500, the Dominica Council on Ageing and the St Joseph Senior Citizens both received medical supplies and $500.
The St Joseph Seventh Day Adventist School and the St Joseph Primary School both received school supplies while the St Joseph Health Center and the Princess Margaret Hospital received medical supplies.
