The family of 14 year old Shanice Jemmott of Layou speaks out about her untimely disappearance

As the search continues for 14 year old Shanice Jemmott of Clark Hall, Layou who went missing on Thursday February 17th, 2011, Shanice’s grand father Mr. Hudson Paul remains adamant that his grand daughter is in the company of a young man against whom the family has taken legal action for allegedly sexually abusing her.

During an exclusive interview with SAT TV News at the family’s residence in Clark Hall, Layou, he says despite the many speculations, he believes that the young man is indeed responsible for Shanice’s disappearance.

Mr. Hudson says despite the accused threats, he still proceeded to make a report to the police station, especially since the young man has a track record of kidnapping and molesting underage girls.

A tearful grandfather vowed to remain hopeful despite being disappointed over the fact that although it has been 11 long days since his grand daughters’ disappearance, the family is yet to receive any positive information.

Shanice’s grandmother Doris Paul says the family is trying their best to cope with the incident.

Meanwhile, Shanice’s mother Josette Paul who was recently released from the Acute Psychiatric Unit of the Princess Margaret Hospital recalled the dreadful Thursday morning.

Shanice’s brother J.M Paul also joined the rest of the family members in pleading for the safe return of his sister.
