The talent of Dominica’s youth to be showcased at the first ever Break Through Event this weekend

Ghandi Joseph, a talented individual who believes that the youth is not receiving the exposure that they deserve will be hosting the first-ever ‘Break Through Event’ tomorrow December 4th 2010 at the Peebles Park from 10am to 4pm.

According to Joseph, the event is aimed at promoting and motivating youth who are talented in areas of break dancing, tricking, flipping, free styling and rapping.

Joseph says the free style, dance and rap battles, are scheduled to take place under the arch at the Peebles Park while the other activities will be held on the grass.

“During the dance exhibition, we are going to educate the public on the different styles of dances,” Ghandi said.

The organizer made it his duty to highlight the sponsors of the event as he believed that without them it would not have been possible.

He said, “ the event could not have been possible without the help of Digicel Dominica, Mad Tv, Red Bull, The National Youth Council and Kairi FM.”

The former Dominica Grammar School student is hopeful that the participants will benefit from the event by receiving maximum exposure.
