The work of Dominica’s young entrepreneurs highlighted at a grand exhibition
The work of Dominica’s young entrepreneurs was highlighted at a grand exhibition which was held at the ground floor of the Government’s Ministry building in commemoration of Global Entrepreneurs Week, which began on November 15th, 2010.
The exhibition which began at 9:30am was organized by The Dominica Youth Business Trust (DYBT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Enterprise Development Officer at the DYBT, Natasha Yeeloi, said that the exhibition was geared at showcasing the work of Dominica’s youth.
Miss Yeeloi highlighted some of the various businesses which were on display.
“We have leather crafts by Vanessa, who also specializes in scented candles while Veronica on the other hand is a seamstress who caters to voluptuous women and Madame Chic who specializes in creative doll making, to name a few.”
She also made mention of some of the other activities which are carded to mark Global Entrepreneurs Week.
“We will be conducting a one-week Mentors and Entrepreneurs Retreat at the Jungle Bay Resort, where the participants will receive the opportunity to interact with veteran businessmen and will be encouraged to think, talk and act strictly business-like.”
