There is a complete disregard for the rule of law says Norris Prevost

Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau Central Constituency, Honorable Norris Prevost has said that government’s total disregard for the rule of law is having a negative impact on the country’s democracy.

Mr Prevost told a UWP press conference that the Roosevelt Skerrit-led administration’s disregard for the rule of law will have serious implications for the country if it is not dealt with immediately.

Mr Prevost said that the United Workers Party is also concerned about the high levels of crime in the country. He said that up to this present day they have not heard of any immediate action plan by the government to tackle the crime issue.

Mr Prevost said that the UWP will not waver in its efforts to safeguard Dominica from becoming a one-party state under the dictatorship of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.

At the last Parliament sitting, the UWP parliamentarians staged what they called a ‘walkout’ which follows a ‘boycott’ which lasted approximately eight months.
