How to be Calm in Stressful Situations

While most of us never have to deal with the life-or-death dilemmas of everyday situations, life can be every bit as stressful, if we are not comfortable dealing with them.

Identify the cause of your stress. Choose your response; even if you are powerless to change the source of your stress, you have the power to choose how you will respond to it.

Learn to relax; relaxing your body, by whatever natural means, is a great way to reduce stress.

Take steps towards thinking more positively; you don’t have to turn into a Pollyanna, but try to acknowledge that there are some good things in life, and that they deserve to be celebrated.

Be organized, Set goals for what you need to achieve that day, then write a “to do list”.
