Tip of the Day: Tips for a Healthy Heart

Tips for a Healthy Heart

A strong heart is a result of healthy lifestyle choices, so being active and stress-free is very important.

Avoid smoking as it reduces life expectancy by 15-25 years.

The moment you stop smoking, the risk of heart attack begins to reduce.

Too much salt can cause high blood pressure, which increases the risk of developing coronary heart disease, so cut down on the salt.

Try to have a balanced diet and eat fresh fruits and vegetables, starch foods such as wholegrain bread and rice and monitor your alcohol, as too much alcohol can damage the heart muscle, increase blood pressure and also lead to weight gain.

Aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day, and keeping yourself fit not only benefits the heart but also improves mental health and well-being.

Laughter is the best therapy and at anytime will work wonders for you, which is an instant way to unleash the pressure and it makes you feel light.
