Today in History: Joseph Searles Admitted NYSEX
On this day in1970, The New York Stock Exchange admits its first Black member and floor broker, Joseph Searles.
He was a member of the Stock Exchange Luncheon Club, and worked as a floor partner in the firm of Neuberger, Loeb and Company.
He graduated and played football at Kansas State University, and graduated with a George Town U Law Degree.
He played with New York Giants, and presently serves on Board.
