On this day in 1992, Los Angeles begins clean up and rebuilding after the Rodney King riots which included 58 deaths, 600 fires and 1 billion dollars of property damage.

The 1992 Los Angeles riots, was classified as a race riot was first started in South Los Angeles and then eventually spread out into other areas over a six-day period within the Los Angeles city area in California during April in 1992.
