On this day in 1937, Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr. was born in Louisiana.
Johnnie Cochran passed the California Bar in 1963 and soon began taking highly publicized cases, often dealing with police brutality.
He became the noted controversial Lawyer, who defended Pro Football Star and Actor, O.J. Simpson, in the infamous trial, for which Simpson was accused of killing wife and her friend.
He attracted celebrity clients like Michael Jackson, and became a celebrity himself, making appearances and writing his memoirs.
He died on March 29, 2005.
