Trinidadian born Nathalie Clarke replaces Val Cuffy as Events Director of the DFC
Trinidadian born Nathalie Clarke replaces Mr. Val Cuffy as Events Director of the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC). Miss Clarke was presented to the general public on Thursday September 02nd, 2010 when the DFC held it’s second of a series of weekly press conferences, geared at updating the public on preparations leading up to the 14th Annual World Creole Music Festival (WCMF). While speaking to the media, an elated Clarke said that she is indeed honored to have been hired as the DFC’s new Events Director.
“When I saw the advert for the position, I immediately thought yes! This is what I want to do.”
She said she was trained by the best in events Managing starting with Cricket World Cup in 2007 and Stanford 20/20 to name a few.
Clarke, who described herself as a team player, said that she brings a wealth of experience to the position.
“I met my staff, I love them already and I sincerely hope that they love me in return, al though we may have a few hitches every now and then because of my perfectionists nature.”
She pledged to do her best in ensuring that the World Creole Music Festival grows immensely during her tenure as Events Director.
“We’re in our 14th year and hopefully this year I am going to take the opportunity to listen and really understand what it is that Dominica is trying to do.”
