Two Men in Custody for Alleged Attempted Kidnapping

images (2)Two men are now in police custody, following reports of an alleged attempted kidnapping that took place in the village of Salisbury.

Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector John Carbon says two men were involved in the attempted kidnapping that occurred at about 2 p.m.

According to the Inspector, a motor scooter belonging to Akeem Morancie was stolen in his presence at Salisbury by a group of men from the Roseau area.

Jesse James of Salisbury was held by the group, who were attempting to place him on a vehicle.

Their attempt however, was blocked by some Salisbury residents and instead the group drove off with just the motor scooter.

The two men are said to be in their late 20’s and live in the communities of Bath Estate and Roseau.

Their identities cannot be revealed, as they have not been charged with any crime at this point in the police investigation.

Inspector Carbon noted, there are other suspects involved in the incident that they are currently pursuing.
