Leader of the United Workers Party Lennox Linton, has shut down allegations that there may be a possible change of constituency for him for the next general elections.

Speculations have been rife that the former candidate for the Marigot constituency Edison James would be contesting the Marigot seat, while Linton would be shifted to contest the Salisbury constituency.

“There is absolutely no truth to that and I repeat absolutely no truth to that, I am the candidate for the United Workers Party Team Dominica for the Marigot constituency in the upcoming general elections,” Linton stated.

Linton added, he had no idea how such allegations came about.

The UWP leader stated he is very confident that he will be victorious for the Marigot constituency at the next general elections.

“The people of Marigot has stood behind the United Workers Party since 1990 when Edison James won the constituency, and the Marigot people are excited to hold that seat for more than two decades as they strive to create a better Dominica for all Dominicans,” Linton explained.
