Vehicular Accident at Good Hope

12221395-crime-sceneThe police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident which led to the death of 32 year old Curien Francis.

Francis, who hailed from the Community of Petite Soufriere but resided at Good Hope, suffered from speech and hearing impairments. She was crossing the street at about 7:45 am on August 9th, when she was struck by a dump truck, registration number TE 275.

The vehicle was driven by Lyndon St. Louis of CaslteBruce at the time of the tragic incident.

Ms. Francis sustained multiple injuries and was transported to the Castle Bruce Health Centre, where she was treated and later transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital Accident and Emergency Department where she was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

A Coroner’s inquest will be convened,followed by a post mortem.

Investigations are continuing.
