Venezuelan indigenous: sound universe staged at the Salybia Primary School
A collection of posters, texts and videos that offer a panoramic view of the world views of our indigenous people, through their working sound and body, from a perspective that values diversity and multiculturalism in Venezuela, was showcased at an exhibition held at the Salybia primary school yesterday.
The exhibition was organized in partnership with the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation in the commonwealth of Dominica.
Venezuelan Ambassador to Dominica, H.E Carmen Martinez de Grijalva says such an activity demonstrates the resounding partnership between the indigenous people of Dominica and Venezuela.
Principal of the Salybia Primary School, Mrs. Kathleen JnoLewis views the event as one that will educate the students on the culture of both countries.
