Veronique Nicholas of Newtown is Miss Wob Dwiyet 2013
Ms. Veronique Nicholas of Newtown has been named the new Madame Wob Dwiyet pageant winner, after a spectacular display of culture and ethnicity, on the night of Friday, October 18th, at the Arawak House of Culture.
The event saw participating villages including, Pointe Michel, Paix Bouche, Pichelin and Newtown.
First runner up was 75 year old, Ms. Maslyin Massicot of Paix Bouche, while second runner up was Ms. Huguette St. Hilaire.
The contestants came together to put on a spectacular show, according to public reviews.
The Miss Wob Dwiyet Pageant aims to promote the Dominican Creole wear as well as the culture, speech and traditions of the Dominican people.
