NIET sees this new partnership with the One Run as another step forward in its efforts to promote the National Trail and Dominica.

Mr. Rabess says this will expose Dominica to the international trailing committee.

The Organization believes that by establishing trail events of this magnitude will encourage more Dominicans to enjoy the Trail.

NIET’s long-term trail project has three objectives: To establish regular trail events, leading to a world class international competitive trail crossing event that takes place annually on the Waitukubuli National Trail.

It also provides income earning opportunities to Dominican communities for providing services in support of the Trail events; and creates in Dominica a national focus on trail sports, similar to that of Jamaica.
