During the closing ceremony, there will be speeches from the Minister of Health, Honourable Julius Timothy, President of the Dominica Cancer Society Ms. Kathleen Cornelius and National Epidemiologist Dr. Paul Ricketts.

According to Ms. Gittens, cancer has touched the lives of many of us – a disease that is crippling – we have lost mothers, daughters, and fathers, causing the family to break down, so we all need to help in any way we can to fight the disease.

All donations are welcomed she noted, as they will aid in alleviating the pain and suffering of some cancer patients.

Persons wishing to purchase t-shirts for the walk, can call Vinna Royer on telephone number 265-9317, or the National AIDS Response Unit’s Office on 440-8801.
