Warner Heritage Day Committee Deems Heritage Day Will Be a Success
Cabinet has approved the observance of Heritage Day 2012 carded for October 21st in the community of Warner, and the committee feels that it will be a total success.
The day will commence with a Church Service on the Warner playing field at 10: 00 am and will be followed by an Exhibition then a Cultural Gala.
Chairperson of Warner Development Committee Ms. Jennifer Julien Laudat says in terms of entertainment, the public can expect to be amused.
Ms. Laudat commended the Parliamentary Representative Honorable Rayburn Blackmore, who she says fought to have Heritage Day hosted in Warner and is also working to ensure that it is a success.
She also informed us that the roads leading to the scene of the event have also been improved.
Head of the exhibition committee Ms. Nalda Morgan says for the exhibition segment, they have categorized the exhibits. There will be sections broken down into; arts and crafts, agricultural, bread and pastries amongst many others.
The launching of potato festival will also commence on the very same day where people will get the chance to see the different dishes that can be made from sweet potatoes, and will culminate with entertainment after the close of the gala.
