We need to give the police their flowers when they deserve it – says ASP Weekes
Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police, Claude Weekes has said that while the public continue to critique the police force when they are at fault, they should also commend them, when they do good.
Weekes made this statement after the police presented successful reviews of the 2011 carnival celebrations in Dominica.
Both visitors and citizens alike have commended the police force for making their presence felt at all the events leading to the Real Mas celebrations.
Inspector Weekes says while the police are grateful for the positive feedback and encouragement, they could not have done it without the cooperation of the general public.
In the interim, Weekes informed the media that investigations are continuing into the case of 14-year old Shanice Jemmot who reportedly is missing since February 17th, 2011.
He noted that the police is responding and acting upon all information received from the general public, as it relates to that matter.
