The youths of Dominica, performing at the Arawak House of Culture

The youths of Dominica, gathered at the Arawak House of Culture on Saturday March 16th 2103, to express the issues affecting their day to day lives, through song, poetry, dancing and drama.

Many people gathered to what turned out to be a splendid and exciting event with a variety of performances, from youths all over the Island, who displayed real stories through presentations.

It is evident that there are many issues affecting our youths and society. Drugs, teenage pregnancy, murders, indecent assault and prostitution were just a few that were demonstrated at the show.

Take a look at one of the scenes shot with a dance rendition, “I believe I can”.

Mr. Delroy Williams, Coordinator of the youth talks through the arts, said the Youth Talk through the Arts Project has been established in Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis and now Dominica.

The youths of Dominica realizes the effect that these issues have on the country and is willing to face the challenges head on.
